Ceramic braces

Ceramic braces offer the reliable results of traditional braces with the discretion of other invisible braces solutions.

What are ceramic braces?

Ceramic braces work exactly like traditional metal braces, using brackets and archwires to put gentle pressure on your teeth and guide them into place. However, ceramic braces are constructed from translucent or tooth-coloured, medical-grade ceramic instead of metal brackets. For a more discreet solution, we also offer our patients the option of a white archwire.

Are ceramic braces right for me?

If you are considering braces but do not prefer the aesthetics of traditional metal braces, ceramic braces might be right for you. They are extremely effective at treating various issues in patients of all ages.

The first step is to understand your individual smile needs. All our bespoke treatments start with a professional assessment of your teeth and jaws. During your consultation at Royston Dental Care, our experienced team will carefully evaluate your smile, take digital images, and propose a customised treatment plan.

FAQs about ceramic braces

Ceramic braces are a trusted, reliable way to achieve your smile goals. The biggest pro of ceramic braces is that we can colour-match the brackets to your teeth, giving you a more discreet treatment option without sacrificing results.

One con of ceramic braces is that the brackets may be slightly more prone to chips or breaking than other types of braces. This should not deter you from undergoing treatment, though. Most of the patients at Royston Dental Care have never experienced a single issue with their ceramic braces!

Specialists have used braces to successfully treat orthodontic issues in children as young as seven years old. In fact, catching orthodontic issues early may reduce the time your child spends in treatment and may reduce the chance of needed treatment in the future.

If you suspect your child may need orthodontics, we recommend booking a free consultation with our experienced staff. We will assess jaw and teeth growth and development to help you understand your options.

Orthodontic treatment times vary from person to person. All smiles are different. That's why we create a bespoke treatment plan for each patient we work with. Some patients see notable results after just a few months. Your Specialist will provide an accurate estimate during your consultation at our orthodontic clinic in Royston.
